Being touched by talent

When was the last time that someone else's talent brought you to the verge of tears? So I was just sitting on the couch watching NBC's America's Got Talent and on comes a 42-year-old Asian lady who is a homemaker. Cindy Chang. When she gets all excited she starts laughing and snorts a little. It was comical. Then I saw as she took a deep breath and started to sing. Wow. As she was singing so many things were running through my mind. One being: people can make their dreams come true. We just need to, as Cindy said, come out of our shells a little bit. Have the courage to step out of your comfort zone and share something that you have. It can touch others. It doesn't matter if Cindy wins or not, she was able to touch the people she performed in front of - she touched me. I love what she represents. She represents each of us. We think we are mediocre or an average citizen, but we have so much to offer our neighbors! Opera may not be my favorite type of music, but the fact that she had the courage to step out of her shell and try something that people told her she couldn't pursue is what got me!

Share your talents!

Cindy Chang reminds me of Susan Boyle. I was trying to remember if the Susan Boyle phenomenon happened during your mission or before. I think it was before, if not, you'll enjoy looking up that performance on YouTube also.
