Hong Kong! Here I Come!

So I have some exciting news! Granted I haven't been on here for the past three months, which is completely my bad for not making it one of my New Year's resolutions to keep updated on my blog, but it's kind of a good thing I didn't because it will be put on an 18-month hold come July 1st. If you're one of the people asking why, not to worry because I will tell you. However, most of you have heard from me, the grapevine, a bird, or figured out through the title of this post and such that I'm going to Hong Kong!

Yes, I have been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have been assigned to labor in the China Hong Kong mission. I will be teaching in the Cantonese language and reporting to the Provo Missionary Training Center (MTC) on July 1, 2009.

I will be in the Provo MTC (which is in Utah for those of you who aren't familiar with the area) for 3 months learning Cantonese and then will head out to Hong Kong where I will serve the reminader of my 18 month mission. I'm so excited to go and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Hong Kong. I am excited beyond belief for this opportunity, and even though I am a little freaked out, I know that with the Lord I can do anything!
